Entries are requested by no later than 14th  March 2014. Please note that late entries will only be accepted if space permits within the limits of the number of squads determined after receipt of entries.

Trophies and Medals:

National Championships medals, certificates and Perpetual Trophies will be presented in accordance with Target Rifle Australia’s By-Laws.
Target Rifle South Australia will present prizes to all Demonstration Matches and Demonstration Finals listed in the program.

Air Rifle Championship Events for Men and Women on Wednesday.

These events are Championship events for both Men and Junior Men (60 shots), and Women and Junior Women (40 shots) Air Rifle. Entry is open to all shooters.

In conjunction with these 2 events will be PQS events for AISL Ranking. Finals will be conducted only for those who indicate on the entry form that they wish to compete for PQS.

A 60 shot Open Air Rifle Match to determine the Open Championship will be held on Thursday.

50 metres PQS Ranking Events (Men, women, and ISCD shooters)

These will be held on Saturday morning, April 19th. In the event more than 26 men nominate for this match, an elimination will be held in conjunction with the 50m Dual Range match on Friday 17th April. If a PQS shooter wishes to enter the Dual Range and also nominates for PQS, no extra charge will be made.

Please note that entrants nominating for PQS MUST have clothing and equipment that conforms with ISSF rules.
(Note that it is not a requirement of TRA Rulrs that entrants in the Open matches have clothing that strictly conforms with the ISSF Rules - clothing that does not conform 100% is permitted in TRA events, provided it does not allow an undue advantage in the estimation of the Jury.)

Firearms Licences, transport and storage:

The licence provided by your state will be recognised in South Australia.  Carriage of your firearm must be within a gun box, preferably in the boot of your car and out of sight.  Ammunition must be kept separately from the firearm.  You may keep your firearm with you in a locked gun case in your hotel, or, at your own risk you may leave it at the range in our new armoury. 

Shooters are advised that it is a requirement that all rifles will display breach flags when not actually being used in competition.


 Age categories:

Junior                     must be under the age of  21 years on December 31st 2014
Under 18 years     must be under the age of  18 years on December 31st 2014
Under 16 years     must be under the age of  16 years on December 31st 2014
Veteran:                  must be over the age of 60 years on December 31st 2014 (Please note age change by TRA) 

Grading:

Competitors are requested to provide their last scores in each event as provided for on the reverse side of the entry form.  These scores must be verified by a club or state official.  Grades in all events will depend on entry numbers.

Targets and shooting times:

Meyton Electronic Targets have been installed in the 10m Air Rifle Range and the 50 metres Range.

Paper targets, single shot per aiming mark will be used in the 20 metres range. 

Shooting Mats:

Competitors are advised that mats will be available on the range, however, private shooting mats will be permitted. 

Rules

Please note that TRA and ISSF rules will apply for all National Championship matches and for the Demonstration finals.

The rules for the Class 1 rifle in the Demonstration Benchrest events will be in accordance with Target Rifle South Australia rules, as will the Demonstration Supported Air Rifle Match and the Air Rifle Repechage fun match.   Please refer to our website for copies of these rules.

Catering:

Our kitchen will be operating for breakfast and lunch each day of the Championships. 

Saturday night social function:

The usual Saturday night tea will be held at the Wingfield Range - details will be added to this section as soon as they have been finalised. Tickets will be available at the range, but your early advice will be greatly appreciated to assist with catering.

Presentation Night Dinner:

This will take place on Easter Monday - April 21st. More details shortly.

Again, shooters are asked to advise as soon as possible if they are coming as we must advise before Easter how many they will be catering for. Pre-ordered tckets will be available at the time of registration. Tickets will also be sold at the range - but only to the limit of the numbers advised.
